Christmas 2009

I am by no means caught up with my scrapbooking BUT, Christmas pictures are just so much fun to do and the memories are so fresh, it's a great place to start back up if you've been in a slump and haven't done much in a while! So, here goes...

Christmas Eve... I love our Close to My Heart papers so much and this is a great example of why. This paper is from a paper pack called Hollydays. It has been retired for quite a while, but it is timeless. At Christmas time, I always reach for this stash! Not that I don't love our new stuff, I just love the bright and bold colors of Christmas that are reflected in this paper. I also used Snow Flurries stamp set for the snowflakes and the swirl (which I LOVE!). In addition, I used letters from Felicity for "Christmas Eve". The gold ornament was done with our Glitter Rubons... SO much fun! And I matted everything on Dutch Blue and/or Clover Meadow cardstock. Now that I look at them, I may have to go back and bling up the middle of some of those snowflakes! That would be SO cool!

Our Little Diva

This layout used a special paper pack that is on sale from now until the end of January. I love it! It's called Felicity. The colors I used here is Sorbet and Desert Sand. And the coolest part is that a stamp set comes with the kit! That's where the swirls and bird came from PLUS, there is a full alphabet included (used for "OUR"). I also used Rustic Alphabet for "Little Diva" and accented with sorbet and cocoa brads. This is perfect for a sweet little girl like my granddaughter, Trella!

Devin Turns One!

Well, I've been doing a bit of scrapbooking and plan to get some more done this weekend, but I wanted to get posted some of the things I've finished. It's been a while and it feels good to get back into it!

I used Cranberry and Outdoor Denim cardstock and that's pretty much it! They both matched my pictures so well and I really wanted the pictures to speak for themselves. I did ink up some Simple Alphabet Dimensional Elements for "DEVIN" and I used a few brads here and there. Simple, yet Perfect! Oh, and "Sweet Baby Boy and the double lines in the lower left corner of the page on the left are handstitched in dark blue.
